About Banner Federal
We are not a bank; we are a credit union, a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution, owned by our members. Our focus is the members we serve, our sponsor Banner Health Systems, and our community.
Banner Federal Credit Union was originally chartered as a Federal Credit Union on April 23, 1957. The credit union has grown from an original membership of 22 to over 7,800 with assets in excess of $76 million!
Safe & Secure
Our services are safe and secure. We work hard to employ the most up-to-date technology to make sure that your personal account information stays protected.
Your funds here are also federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF)
How to Join
Membership eligibility is primarily limited to Banner Health System employees and small employee groups associated with or affiliated with health care providers. To verify your eligibility please email us at inform@bannerfcu.org.
Once you’re a member, you are always a member! Don’t worry about switching employers or moving out of state; we will always welcome you at Banner Federal and have plenty of services to meet your needs, near or far! Plus, once you join, your immediate family members are also eligible to join.
Who are the Board of Directors?
Banner Federal Credit Union’s Board is made up of seven Directors. These seven individuals are members of the credit union elected by the membership and serve without compensation. Any member in good standing is eligible and encouraged to serve on the board.
We open our Call for Nominees in February of each year and announce the new Board Members during our Annual Meeting in April. If you are interested in serving on your credit union’s board, please email us at inform@bannerfcu.org. Directors are not required to make any investment in or have any deposits in the credit union beyond the minimum membership share balance.
