Member Owned Since 1957
Banner Federal Credit Union isn’t a bank—we’re a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution owned by our members. That means our focus is entirely on serving you, our sponsor Banner Health Systems, and the communities we’re proud to be part of.
Chartered on April 23, 1957, Banner Federal began with just 22 members. Today, we’ve grown to serve over 6,900 members with more than $66 million in assets—proof of our steady growth and strong member support.
Your Money is Safe With Us!
At Banner Federal Credit Union, protecting your finances is our top priority. As a federally insured credit union, your deposits are backed by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA)—an independent U.S. government agency.
Through the NCUA, each member’s deposits are insured up to at least $250,000 per individual depositor. This means your money is protected with the same level of security you’d find at any federally insured financial institution.
You can bank with confidence knowing your funds are safe, your credit union is strong, and your financial future is in trusted hands.
Membership Eligibility
Membership at Banner Federal Credit Union is primarily open to employees of Banner Health System and small employee groups affiliated with health care providers. If you’re unsure about your eligibility, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help! Contact us at inform@bannerfcu.org for more information.
Once you become a member, you’re a member for life—no matter where you work or live. Even if you change employers or move out of state, you’ll always have a financial home with us. Plus, your immediate family members are also eligible to join and enjoy the same great benefits.
Meet Your Board of Directors?
Banner Federal Credit Union is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors made up of seven volunteer members. These individuals are fellow credit union members, elected by you, who generously serve without compensation to help shape the future of our organization.
We welcome and encourage all members in good standing to consider serving on the Board. Each February, we open our Call for Nominees, with new Board Members officially announced during our Annual Meeting in April.
Interested in learning more or getting involved? We’d love to hear from you. Reach out to us anytime at inform@bannerfcu.org to explore how you can play a role in your credit union’s leadership.
